Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
Having produced several event films for Portsmouth Dockyard in the past, we were asked to produce a generic promotion, showing the permanent attractions of this exciting and educational site.
Following a day of filming, to ensure that all aspects of the Historic Dockyard were covered, we used the new material in combination with previously shot clips, to produce a short promotional film showing the permanent and current attractions.
From the welcome through the main gate, to HMS Warrior and HMS Victory, all parts of the Dockyard were covered and the Marketing Department at PHD were extremely pleased with the results.
The film was delivered in several different formats on DVD, - as requested and will be used for promotion at exhibitions, mail-outs and for distribution via the internet.
Uploaded and now available to view on Youtube in High Definition, the URL and Embed Code for this film can now be used to include the film on PHD`s own website and elsewhere, without taking up valuable server space.
Football 4 Peace
Having already organised a very successful football tournament in Nazareth, the team from Football 4 Peace were already well-advanced with their plans for a new tournament in Israel.
The first stage of their plan involved a visit by the organisers and officials from Nazareth, to Brighton and Eastbourne - for a programme of team-building, training in conflict prevention and sports coaching.
The week also served as a good opportunity for the visitors to get to know the Football 4 Peace Team and to begin the close co-operation and teamwork that would be needed to successfully run the tournament.
The project aim, was to carry on the good work from the previous year, to run a football tournament for young boys from the Jewish, Arab and Druze Communities in Israel and to foster good relations between the various ethnic groups and with the sports coaches / staff from the UK.
Our brief was simple - to record the event, to produce an edited film and to use some of the footage for future promotional and fund-raising edits.
Portsmouth Council Leisure Services
We were commissioned by Portsmouth City Council Leisure Services to produce an information film about some of the services provided throughout the year.
From a variety of sports and social projects, it was easy to pick interesting and exciting services and to generally promote the work of this busy department.
From Football Training for school children in the summer, through to amateur dramatics, public entertainment and sports facilities, it quickly became apparent that Leisure Services provide an important function in the City of Portsmouth, but many local residents are unaware of the scope and quality of these facilities.
This therefore, was one of the aims of the film - to inform the wider population of the city of the availability of leisure activities and to widen participation.
The film also looks at some of the impressive Museums based in the City , the Public Open Spaces and Libraries.
