Based in Hampshire - Covering the United Kingdom

For many years now, One 2 Watch Entertainments have been producing training films and documentaries in the Medical and Social arena.

Projects such as `A Year In The Life Of Thornhill Plus You` - covering the development of a large regeneration programme in Southampton and several films for the NHS.

Our most recent NHS project - for Portsmouth Primary Care Trust - entails a detailed look at the Government`s 10 Point Dignity Plan - which has been designed to ensure appropriate care for all types of service-users.

The Dignity Challenge  was filmed predominantly at St James Hospital in Portsmouth, but includes shoots at various other prominent landmarks around the city.  Using a series of real case studies, the film looks at the lives of several different service-users and how the care they have received has affected their lives.

The film was delivered on DVD for distribution to Hospitals and Out-Patient Clinics throughout Hampshire and beyond.

The decision was made to give the film a `local` feel and we therefore chose recognisable locations in the region.

Making a Difference - Hampshire Partnership NHS Trust

The Hampshire Partnership NHS Trust were well advanced with their plans to become a Foundation Trust and wanted to inform staff at all levels, how this would affect their employment status, working practices, wages and job security.

The staff had many questions about the change - not least of which was WHY ?

The Trust`s Chief Executive - Martin Barkley, faced some probing questions from our Presenter - Tony Harris and we spoke to other senior members of staff and practitioners from across the region.

The DVD film was distributed throughout the organisation at all levels, with the intention of keeping all informed with the reasons for the change, to allay any fears that had arisen and to help the staff and executives to move forward with the plan, with confidence.

All filming and Post Production was undertaken by Carl Dearing and the Presenter / Reporter was Tony Harris.
The locations included Woodhaven Hospital in The New Forest, The Memory Assessment and Research Centre in Southampton, Melbury Lodge - Winchester and Moorgreen Hospital in Southampton.

The Changing Face of Mental Health in The New Forest

To celebrate the opening of a new purpose-built Mental Health facility in the New Forest area, Hampshire NHS Partnership commissioned a film on the building and launch of the new service and asked us to look at the history of care in this region, over the past 100 years.

Our first task was to visit the Old Manor Hospital in Salisbury - which had been the sole in-patient facility for the area for a long time.  Now mainly closed and superceded, the Old Manor wards stand empty, but staff who still work in the service, can remember how things used to be - good and bad.

Next, we looked at the two modern and effective Day Clinics that now provide a lifeline for patients in the region and finally, the building and launch of Woodhaven Hospital - the new In-Patient facility on the edge of The New Forest.

The staff and service-users from the territory, give their opinions on the new structure and the Management look forward to a brighter future - providing a higher level of care and better working conditions.

Despite some delays in the construction programme, the new Hospital is now open and fully operational and as a fitting tribute to this investment in care - the facility has been awarded National Winner - Building Better Health Care Awards 2004 and Best Designed Mental Health Project in England and Wales.

A Year In The Life of Thornhill Plus You

Thornhill Plus You was the name given to a group of people tasked by the Government to distribute several Millions of taxpayers money to regenerate and spruce up one of the biggest council estates in Europe.

The Thornhill estate in Southampton is a densely populated area, with a large amount of people, but with a small amount of amenities.  The amenities that do exist are run-down and in ill repair, or have simply been closed down.

The task then, was to improve facilities, refurbish the existing housing stock and landscaping and generally improve the lives of the residents on this large estate.

The management group had been given approximately 10 years to complete this task and whilst great progress had been made, for various reasons some of the projects had stalled and residents were becoming disgruntled.

It was decided therefore, to commission a film - for distribution amongst the entire community, to let the residents know exactly how the money was being spent, what the management team worked on daily and how long it would take to get movement on the stalled projects.

Our filming took place at events and locations on the estate over an entire year.
